    Hi,

While testing import from CSV (and before I had set up a dev env!*) it seems I accidentally created a nonsense wiki category, but I can’t see how to remove it.

    Can you advise?

    Best regards, Julian

(XAMPP on W7-64 with Eclipse and Xdebug – Eclipse and Debug being the only PHP editing and dev environment I could even get up and running… and it was relatively easy!)

    Hi Julian,

If you click on the “Wiki Categories” link under “Wiki Pages”, you should see a table on the right side of the page that has a list of all of the categories. Hovering over the Name of Category shows a list of options:

“Edit”, “Quick Edit”, “Delete”, and “View”

I’m not sure why WordPress hides that option list, but it is not obvious.

Alternatively, you can find the category you want to delete in the table, check the check box next to it, and then in the “Bulk Actions” drop down select “Delete” and then click the Apply button.

    Regards,

    David

Thanks for the prompt reply, as usual!

I had barely registered the Wiki Categories item on the RHS… I kept looking for a delete function near the add function I already knew*.

I tend to be rather short-sighted/tunnel-visioned when presented with problems… must get out of my box more 🙂

    Excellent support – much appreciated

    Best regards

    Julian

*In the event that there are others as naive in their I/F expectations as me, the addition of a “Delete Categories…” link/button that took the user to the Wiki Categories page might be helpful.
