# Deleting Comments section

 * I am not a designer. I have a not for profit dedicated to veterans. I want to
   delete the comments section from the page as it is not a blog. Other themes have
   a place for this, but I could not find it. Where do i go to delete the comments
   section from each page? (www.keepingthepromise.us)

 * Comments can be globally turned on or off from the Discussion settings under 
   the Settings menu in your sidebar. They can be disabled individually for each
   post/page by clicking on the Screen Options tab at the top of the Edit Post/Page
   screen and checking Comments — from there you can toggle comments on or off.
 * Other users have disabled comments and then removed the “Comments off” from the
   page by following those steps and then using Jetpack’s built-in commenting system

 * Thank you for your quick response. Please give me a little more detail. When 
   I go into the discussion settings page there is nothing that says “turn on/off
   comments”. I did go into the Screen Options and do what you said, checking Comments.
   I see no on/off toggle.
 * I downloaded jetpack. When deactivated, it still shows a Leave Reply word and
   smaller box at the bottom. I want the entire section to disappear. I guess it
   didnt go away because I couldnt deactivate comments before downloading jetpack.
   What can I do? I am sure you have gotten me close, but I guess I dont know enough
   to complete the job.

 * Thank you for trying to help. Those things didnt get rid of the section. There
   is still a box to leave comments. I will find someone to pay to do it. Thank 
   you anyway.
