# Deprecated JQuery

 * Hi All,
 * I am using old versions of a theme and a plugin that we are NOT able to update
   and thus, theme/plugin authors are not able to provide us with support. As they
   contain jQuery that is deprecated, we have been using the plugin JQuery Migration
   Helper since update of WordPress this summer to keep the plugins and theme from
   working properly. In almost ALL cases, the deprecated code is jQuery.fn.live()–
   is there a line of code which we can manually type in to the js file to replace
   the deprecated code?
 * Updating the theme and some of the plugins is absolutely NOT an option.

 * This is not a line of code, but it’s written by the lead of the Support team

   It has a part on `.live()` event handler.

 * I think I need to clarify one thing: JQuery Migration Helper (plugin) is not 
   the one with the deprecated code. The JQuery Migration Helper has informed us
   that a plugin we are using has the deprecated code `jQuery.fn.live()`
 * Here is the message provided by JQuery Migration Helper, pointing to where deprecated
   code is sitting:
