Designing pages without widgets

There are several important widgets that are by default to be included in a sidebar as at your demo page.
For a given project, I won’t be using sidebars at all but would like to have, at least some of them, on top of main page.

What would be the best way for achieving this?

Hi @dsl225,

The best way to add widgets to the top of the product list is to use the Catalog filters bar widget area.

Thanks but how you would do this?
Sorry but I’m new here and I really don’t know what is the “Catalog filters bar widget area” and how I can “use” it…

Hi @dsl225,

You will find all the widget areas in Appearance > Widgets. Once you get to the widgets screen, you will see the Filters Bar widget area where you can drag and drop any widget.

Ok, that’s nice!
But I read that this bar appears only above the product “list”.
Is there a way to add the same on top of individual product pages?
Especially the Product Categories as you have at right sidebar in your demo here.

Hi @dsl225,

This widget area shows up only on the product list (the main listing page, category pages, search results page, and [show_products] shortcode).

But which widget is the one you are using for Product Categories at your demo above?

It is the Attributes Filter widget.
