Hello!

Installed the free version of DesktopServer for a trial run. After the configuration was complete opened the link and got the error message that the site can’t be reached, connection refused. Tried in Chrome,Firefox and Opera with the same result. Tried to find to solution online, it seems that people have this problem pretty often without any solution. I would appreciate your help as I have to start my website project ASAP.

Additional data: installed the version for Windows7, the problem occured at first as I tried to install WP on this localhost.

Ran into the same issue today coming back from vacation. Booting up my PC and get the “Site cannot be reached” error.

As an alternative to a trial version, why not use FREE (as in free speech and free beer) server environment, there are several such as LAMP, WAMP, MAMP, AMPPS, XAMPP, each of these has its own support culture.

I did that at the end and installed WAMP 🙂
