# Despite setting “Maximum image count” loading all

 * Despite setting “Maximum image count” to 10, the slideshow widget is loading 
   all the images from the gallery, as the console shows (“GET” lines). This causes
   the page to load very slowly, as there are a lot of images in the gallery.
 * Also, whenever I save options, I get “Error thrown: Call to undefined function
   ctype_lower()”. However, the settings seem to work.

 * Okay, figured it out. We had updated to PHP 7.4 and there seems to be conflict
   with that with NextGen. We had to go back to 7.3. I hope NextGen can update their
   coding to work with 7.4 soon.

 * They said in another thread they are updating up to PHP 8 soon. Alright!
