# Developer friendly Post view count plugin?

 * I want to get post view by day, week, month, year, last 7 days and all time. 
   And want to use that data in WP_Query(). Like to create a list of most popular
   posts of this month etc. I used to use a plugin called [post view](https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-views/)
   but it is not available anymore. It allowed me to query posts by weekly, monthly
   yearly views etc and was very developer friendly. It sadly retired. Any similar
   plugin that allows sorting by view of different range in WP_Query()?

   You could fork the plugin or even adopt it.

 * I have the plugin but I would rather not use it for security concern. And I should
   not be the only one who would need to sort posts by monthly or weekly views.

 * The plugin page says it was closed for a guideline violation, not a security 
   violation.
    And by forking or adopting the plugin, it could be in the WP repo
   where other people could use it.
