# Difference between “searchable list” and “select basic”

 * What is the difference between “searchable list” and “select basic” under the
   Multiple Choice options? They appear to do the same thing, but are they processed
   differently?

 * Hello!
 * They actually are a little bit different, the select basic is a basic dropdown
   field, the searchable list is also a dropdown field but let you ‘Search’ items
   in the list, you can for example type a letter and the searchable list will display
   all the items that have that letter (which is useful for big lists).
