# Difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org?

 * Ok, so total noob here.
 * I’m totally confused and completely lost as to what my situation is with WordPress.
 * Let me see if I can even ask the right question…
 * So, I successfully installed WordPress through BlueHost.
 * Previously, I had been using “WordPress.com,” which I understand is not the same
   as “WordPress.org.” Is that correct?
 * Basically I have a bunch of blog names I was experimenting with WordPress.com,
   but found the customization to be very limited, so I want to try out WordPress.
   org.
 * I guess my main question is, is my content from wordpress.com at all connected
   to what I’ve set up through wordpress.org?
 * If someone could break this all down into laments terms for me, that would be
   greatly appreciated. Thank you.

 * WordPress.com is a web service to create free blogs and add some premium options
   to it.
 * WordPress.org is an open-source php software which can do about everything.
 * WordPress.com blog is under the Automattic team, but your WordPress.org blog 
   is totally under your control.
 * And no, you content from .COM is no connected to .ORG. However, you can migrate
   from your .COM to .ORG blog.
