# Different default language

 * Hello,
 * I have a problem. I translated an English page to German.
    Later I’ve set the
   custom language of the WordPress installation to German but TranslatePress still
   loads the page with English.
 * How can I change the default language in TranslatePress without the problem that
   it might overwrite the existing language files. I know I can set the default 
   language in TranslatePress but am concerned that it will overwrite existing language
   translations.

 * I managed to do it by using “Use a subdirectory for the default language”.
    But
   now the logo link is broken. It always links to [https://www.example.com/de/](https://www.example.com/de/)**

 * Could you let us know the link to your website to have a look?
    Also, can you
   please visit TranslatePress -> Settings -> Advanced Then, enable these features
   1 by 1 in this order and try to see if it makes a difference. Disable them back
   if it makes no difference. Also please disable or clear the cache if you have
   any.

    2. Fix broken HTML 3. Fix missing dynamic
   content 4. Disable dynamic translation

 * Hi i have a problem,
 * i have a website with 5 language worked very well with translatepress and i changed
   the default language whhich was on german to english, on translatepress general,
   and then the german language not showing anymore,than i changed default language
   to german again and removed all languages and added again but this time is’not
