 * I wanted to know if it is possible for different groups/members of the site to
   pay different prices for the same event using events manager and the steps I 
   would take to make this happen?

 * This is exactly what I am wondering. More specifically, I would like to be able
   to set the price by the membership level of the user within the WordPress user
   account database.
 * I would be interesting in learning how it might be possible to set this up using
   this plugin.

 * maybe you can try to create several tickets and then assign those to specific
   roles instead ?
