 * Is it possible to track visitors from the PHP directly calling the Piwik Api?
I thought I saw the option long time ago, but I can’t find it anymore.

 * WP-Piwik uses the **Reporting API** and is able to communicate with Piwik using
REST (HTTP) or by including the necessary PHP files (PHP mode).
 * But this is different from using the PHP **Tracking API** which is not supported
   by WP-Piwik.
