Direct File linking from server to server

    I have installed WP on a local server at work and we are using it for a blog for our REVIT group within the office.

    The WP blog is hosted on our WS1 server and I am trying to link directly to a file on anoter server FS1. Its linking to a pdf file.

    This is what I am using for my code:

    at least I got it to open

    when I roll over the link it displays the correcr file path fs1\2010.etc..
    but when you click on the link it does not open the file. Can someone tell me how to fix this issue when jumping from one server to another.
