I understand you’d like to streamline the checkout experience by sending customers directly to PayPal without requiring them to fill in all their details first, that makes a lot of sense for improving conversion and speed.
With WooCommerce, the default checkout flow is designed to collect billing details before redirecting to payment gateways like PayPal. Directly skipping the checkout form and sending customers straight to PayPal isn’t supported out of the box, as WooCommerce needs that information to create the order properly.
That said, there are a couple of approaches you can explore:
- PayPal Checkout experience
If you are using the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin, enabling features like “PayPal buttons” can allow customers to initiate checkout directly from the cart or product page, which reduces the need to manually enter details.

- Express checkout buttons
These allow customers to log in to PayPal first, and then WooCommerce pulls in their shipping and billing details automatically, which achieves a similar outcome to what you are aiming for.

For a fully customized “skip checkout and redirect to PayPal” flow, this would require custom development or a specialized plugin, since it bypasses WooCommerce’s standard order creation process.
