# Directory Problems

 * Yesterday I registered my first domain name [http://www.example.com](http://www.example.com)
   with the iPage web hoster. However I am having a problem. When I installed wordpress
   it said error directory name already in use so I checked a box that said install
   even if directory is already in use. Now every time I go on my site [http://www.example.com](http://www.example.com)
   the wordpress will not show up. However I uninstalled it and renamed the directory
   [http://www.example.com/home](http://www.example.com/home) it does show up. I
   want it on [http://www.example.com](http://www.example.com). Anyone know how 
   to deal with these directory problems?

 * try moving it from `/home`

 * also, be sure host doesn’t have a default `index.html` in root
