# Disable automatic conversion

 * Hey, due to the law we cannot make the links clickable. How to avoid that? They
   come from a excel import with a function. So there is no <a href tag. We already
   tried to add a “<a href=”#”” but it is ignored.
 * I tried it with this shortcode:
 * [table id=1 datatables_columnfilterwidgets=true datatables_columnfilterwidgets_exclude_columns
   =1,3 datatables_columnfilter=true datatables_fixedheader=top datatables_fixedheader_offsettop
   =80 **automatic_url_conversion=false **hide_columns=”3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22″
   row_order= sort_order=”asc” /]
 * With or without the extension tablepress-automatic-url-conversion installed and
   activated and with and without the parameter the links are always clickable.
 * Any ideas?

 * Can you clarity which links you mean here? The links in this table from your 
   page (the website below the company name in the first column) is not clickable
   for me?

 * P.S.: And out of interest (as I’m also from Germany): What law is preventing 
   you from making links clickable? I have never heard of something like that before…

 * I did not hear that before too… German university..
 * In the meantime I found the problem. When importing the excel-file, TablePress
   imports the tags for <a href etc. on the URLs, even they are not marked with 
   a link in the excel file.
 * I now changed the formula so the tags will be removed. Now it works again. So
   it seems, the links did not come from tablepress, but were imported…

 * Hi,
 * Thanks for the clarification! Somehow, these URLs in Excel must have been links
   in Excel, as that’s the only way TablePress would be importing them as link HTML
   code. But great to hear that you could solve this by changing the formula!
   Another
   idea might be to save the table to a CSV file in Excel and then import that into
   TablePress. This would also only import the visible text.
