 * our customers frequently argue about the “paying by direct debit” method not 
   being working correctly.
 * Thats why we would like to disable this option completely.
 * Is this somehow possible by config or maybe by using hooks?

 * sorry, but you or we can’t disable any payment option inside the iframe. Also,
   PayPal itself can deactivate pay upon invoice for customers only but not others.
