# Disable WordPress core AUTOMATIC updates

 * Does “Automatic Updates – OFF” include WordPress Core updates?
 * Does “Disable WordPress Core Updates” mean disable AUTOMATIC core updates?
 * I don’t want ANY automatic updates.
 * Please advise.

 * Yes. `Automatic Updates - off` means no automatic update will happen including
   WP Core. If you don’t want ANY updates, this is best option.
 * Yes. `Disable WordPress Core Updates` means no core update will happen.
    If you
   want to update your theme and plugins, but not WP Core then this option is best.
