# Disabled, but shows placeholder

 * I disabled comments, but my theme still shows the comment form placeholder. Is
   there a recommended way to fully hide it?

 * If comments are disabled but your theme still shows the comment form placeholder,
   it’s usually related to caching or theme-level rendering. First, please try to
   clear all caches (browser, caching plugins, CDN) and reload the page, in many
   cases, this resolves the issue.
 * If the placeholder is still visible after that, it’s likely your theme is forcing
   the comment template to display, even when comments are disabled. In this case,
   you may need a small CSS fix or theme adjustment to fully hide it.
