# Disabling comments doesnt work

 * Hello,
    I’m trying to disable comments for some pages but I can’t. Even if I 
   un-check the box Allow people to post comments on new articles, there is still
   the option add a comment in my pages.

 * Disabling comments only works on future posts and pages. You can set already-
   published content to dis-allow comments via `Posts > All posts > Quick Edit`.
