# Disabling dropdown menu's

 * Hey hello,
 * I am using the menu function of WordPress 3.4.2 as it is very good and easy to
   use. To bad I can’t find an option where I can turn off the dropdown menu’s.
 * I searched this forum and tried some of the suggestions like changing depth or
   wp_list_categories. But I can’t find the place to change it.
 * I’m familiar with html and love to learn more about editing and creating websites,
   but I’m just a beginner, so excuse me if I ask a dumb thing.
 * My website is currently under maintenance so if you need to login I’ll just send
   you a login 🙂

 * It should be at the location where you can customize the navigation menu.

 * I’m very sorry, I thought this was an open forum.
 * Oh now I understand! How dumb of me.
    I actually expected if I put in subcategories
   under a parent and then clicked on the parent, I was able to see the subcategories
   as some kind of menu or page. However these subcategories don’t even show. They
   don’t show as it’s own, but altogheter.
 * Is it possible to have a kind of menu when you click a parent to have the submenu’s
   as options?

 * I’m sorry but that sounds like a theme-specific issue. You need to contact the
   theme’s vendors.

 * I want to disable a drop down menu. I have read everything above and looke at
   the WP things, but I still do not know how to do it. Can anyone help. I want
