you can set individual posts/pages not to display comments
just edit a post and scroll to bottom and check not to show comments

Yes, samboll, I have done that. But I am still getting spam comments on the very first image in the post.

Is there a way to disable commenting on photos (aside from actually editing single.php? Some button I am not finding perhaps?
