What I am trying to figure out is how much disk space a standard installation on a shared server would be needed. * What I mean by standard is a typical installation with only one or two plugins, nothing fancy in the css, with perhaps a post per day and maybe a comment or two per day. Also with apprx. 10 pages, some graphics (max 50 at 180 pixels per inch resolution). * It seems to me that information on disk usage would be very helpful to many people, especially those looking at hosting options, since there is a wide variety of various hosting plans offered these days. * Thanks. Adding posts to them takes up space, but very little. It’s just text, even uncompressed it’s small. * Images that you upload live in your webspace too, and they take up their own size, obviously. I’m trying to figure out how I went from 16.81MB space to 64.7 in one month. Some of it I know is email, which I can delete. I don’t know what else is using up so much space. I only have 100MB to use. If you go to phpMyAdmin, each table says how big it is. * Most likely it is the statistics files / logs that your webserver keeps automatically. The server logs that tell you who connects to what page might also be of service. * I found one day that hackers uploaded loads of software on my server and through some system other people could download it.
