* I think you have not install this plugin properly,
it’s already showing links
and images not just text. please attach more details like website link where
you are using this plugin, or some screenshot link .

* I think the plugin is working as intended.
The title and read more link do link
to the post, and the thumbnail/featured image does work.
* What I am referring to is the content of the post itself. It displays the content
of the posts as plain text, without line breaks, links, images, etc.
* Here’s a pic of what I’m talking about:

* On the left is the widget, on the right is the post.
As you can see, the widget
strips the HTML tags.

* You can use short code like [wpsp cat=’CategoryName’] such that html is shown
on text widget also.
