    I’m looking for a plugin.

    It needs to display text from a remote file. Lets say the remote file URL is something like “http://remotedata.com/info.txt”

    It needs to do this at intervals of approx 5 seconds, and the file size is small – about 100 bytes of text.

    The widget does not require any user input – it just needs to display text, preferably with some basic formatting options (eg font size etc).

    Basically, I’m looking for something like a very fast RSS reader.

    The server will only be supplying data to my wordpress site, so server loading should not be an issue.

    Any suggestions much appreciated.
