# Displaying Posts Excerpts

 * Is there a way to display the Post excerpt on the homepage with a link to ‘read
   more’. Instead of displaying the entire post?

 * sure – just add this wherever you want the post to break
    `<!--more-->` you should
   have a “more” button above the post editor to do it for you

 * I have another question – Is there is a way to display the ‘manual excerpt’ on
   the homepage? And also when when an article is searched using any one of the 
   following features – archive, categories, tags, etc. I am able to set the manual
   excerpt feature for my RSS feed but not for anything else.
 * I am using the White House theme [http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/whitehouse](http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/whitehouse)
