# DNS server settings

 * Good morning —
 * I am trying to change the settings for my DNS servers to a new host. WordPress
   has been my domain name registration site since 2012 (mwgerard.com) but I am 
   now unable to access that portion the settings area. I receive this message: ‘
   Domains are not available for this site. You can only purchase domains for sites
   hosted on WordPress.com at this time.’
 * But wordpress.com DOES host my domain. I have receipts for payment.
 * (I have also posted in wordpress.com forums, but since .org is where I usually
   am, I thought I would ask here as well)

   This forum here is for self-hosted WordPress.**ORG** software installations.
