 * There are no “report” or “discuss” buttons to provide feedback for documentation
   bugs on this page:
    [https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/template-files-section/page-template-files/](https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/template-files-section/page-template-files/)
 * It incorrectly claims that:
“As discussed in Organizing Theme Files ([https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/basics/organizing-theme-files/](https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/basics/organizing-theme-files/)),
   WordPress recognizes the subfolder page-templates.”
 * However, that is not true. The page it links to does NOT at all mention any subfolder“
   page-templates”.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fdocumentation-bug-2%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * It’s also not true, WordPress does not recognize a subfolder named page-templates
specifically. I think that somebody misunderstood how Twenty Twelve worked.
 * In truth, WordPress will search a theme’s folder and *all* of it’s subfolders
for Page Templates. So you can indeed put your Page Templates into a subfolder
of the theme, with any folder name you like. But only to a depth of 1 folder,
it won’t look any lower down than that.

 * Thanks for taking the time and responding.
 * So how do I go about submitting this documentation error?
 * PS: NAUI? PADI? SSI? BSAC? …

 * PADI, learned in Cairns, Australia, 20 years ago at GBR. Picture is from a trip
   to Grand Cayman.
 * As for fixing the docs, tell somebody on the theme team. Best way is on Slack
   in the #themereview channel.
