 * Hi,
 * I have been maintaining a WP site for many years now, with multiple users, and
   what I have found is that there is a lot of plug-ins that grow like barnacles.
 * Some are installed and not activated for a reason (like SMNP testing), some are
   just sitting there because someone disabled them and left them.
 * I have un-successfully tried to find a WP plugin to document plug-ins.
    As you
   can imagine, Google-fu fails when you look for “WP Plugin document” and variations
   there off.
 * Ideally, I am after a simple note/description next to the plugin as why that
   plugin is installed on the website. Or a plugin that pulls in all the installed
   plugins and has a description field next to each plugin. Ideally it would be
   great if the plugins panel had a native support for a descriptor field.
 * How do other developers deal with WP sites with multiple admins over many years?

   How do you document the purpose and usage pattern of plugins on your long term
   website?

 * I would advise against using a plugin to document plugins. Instead use a word
   doc or google doc. You could also add pages to the admin by following [this article](https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-add-a-help-resource-section-in-wordpress-admin/)
   from WP Beginner.
