# [documents] shortcode

 * when i insert [documents wpdr-file-categories=vaunted] into a text widget it 
   shows me all downloads not only those from the category vaunted
 * when i use this link
 * [http://www.bleedingstar.at/downloads/?wpdr-file-categories=vaunted](http://www.bleedingstar.at/downloads/?wpdr-file-categories=vaunted)
 * it works correctly! only downloads from the category “vaunted” are shown!
 * i really ned a widget that only shows downloads from a special category!
 * how can i do this?

   you’re trying to index?

 * should be [documents cat=27] ?

 * I have the same problem – I can’t get any of the filters to work at all – is

   this thread and an important one as this plugin is broken at the moment.

   The short term solution is to use the plugin provided by [http://wordpress.org/plugins/display-posts-shortcode/](http://wordpress.org/plugins/display-posts-shortcode/)
   use ‘documents’ as the post type and wpdr-file-categories as the taxonomy and
   then your own tax-term (see documentation for that plugin).
 * The author of simple downloads is also looking into why the shortcode attributes
   are not being taken into account for filtering.
