# Does Import overwrite existing sidebars?

 * I changed the contents of some sidebars on my staging site and would like to 
   import them over to my main site. The list of sidebars is the same, just I’ve
   added or removed certain widgets from within them.
 * Does the import function import the sidebars and the widgets in them and overwrite
   the existing ones?

 * When importing a .json file same sidebar will be replaced and the settings/widgets
   from the .json file will be added, overwriting the existing ones. Make sure **
   Also import all widgets of the selected sidebars.** is selected to import widgets.
