 * Will it replace the normal wordpress search feature? so instead of WP search 
   results page it shows google search page.

 * No, the plugin allows you to place the Google Searchbox in a new widget or use
   a shot code. The normal WP Search function will remain the same, but this can
   be turned off if your Theme supports it.
