I have a blog made with ww.wp.xz.cn, I recently installed Jetpack plugin on my blog and signed up on it.
Now, as the login credentials of jetpack and WordPress.com is same, so, I tried logging in to WordPress.com with Jetpack Credentials for some reason. And I saw that my self hosted ww.wp.xz.cn blog was showing there in “my sites” section. How’s that possible. I can see my blog on both WordPress.com and wp-admin.
Did Jetpack somehow linked my blog to WordPress.com too?
    Help.

    Hi there,

Did Jetpack somehow linked my blog to WordPress.com too?

Yes, it did. That is what Jetpack does. Jetpack includes several features and services that were created on WordPress.com, and most of its features require a connection to WordPress.com’s servers to work, as the processes providing those features and services run on and is served from WordPress.com’s servers, rather than your hosting provider’s.

That connection also gives you the ability to manage the content and certain settings on your site via your WordPress.com username account, using the WordPress.com interface.
