# Does migration keep articles published date?

 * Hello there 🙂
 * Forgive me if its not the right forum to ask but I think is the closer to this
   issue.
 * I have to migrate my mambo site, plenty of articles (over 10.0000)and its really
   very important keep the original published data, so ppl can know if it is a new
   or old discussion.
 * So, I will be able to have all my articles with their original published date?

 * Yes you can using export/import options in wordpress. If you are using WP platform
   on the current site OR used a CMS software like Drupal, you should be able to
   migrate with no issues. I migrated several websites including my own site with
   all the dates.
 * But for the link URLs, if you have custom URL system, it may or may not migrate
   to the new WP install. For example, if you had index.php?p=55 as a page URL, 
   it won’t be the same on WP. But if you had, this_is_a_url/ it will be migrated
   to the WP install as it is. (You know what I mean)

 * The WP-posts table includes the post_date column where you can indicate the original
   publication date of your migrated articles
