# Does not change database?

 * Hello there. I’m just trialling out CM On Demand Search And Replace and I’ve 
   just installed it. I quickly noticed the following-
 * > This plugin and replacment tules does not change the content on the database.
   > Instead it changes the content right before it is displayed.
 * Am I misunderstanding something or is this only a limitation on the free version?
   Surely if it does not change the database then there are 2 serious consequences.
   Firstly it means you can never remove the plug-in or all your changes will be
   lost, and secondly it has to add extra processing work to your website?
 * Is there no option to make the changes permanent in the database once you are
   happy with them?
