this is not a problem of the plugin only. Mastodon requires WebFinger and WebFinger has to be setup on your root directory. This should be possible with a little config:

My server runs on LiteSpeed. What are the instructions to get it to work on those server types?

Lightspeed should support .htaccess, so I would go with this! If you tell me the site, you have the problem with, I can also have a look if everything else works like expected!?!
