 * Hi
 * Every time I make an API request using this plugin from an HTTPS page, even if
   I explicitly specify the request URL as “https” and remember to include the trailing
   slash, it still tries to submit as an http request instead, resulting in a browser
   error in the console.
 * Is this something the plugin is doing deliberately or is it likely to be something
   else in my server config to blame?
 * Thanks!
