 * **Hi experts,**
    I want to know does below multisite settings trigger security
   issues? Hopefully, if it doesn’t, can get everybody some inspirations for a big
   brand site.
 * **Background:**
    I and my co workers mainly blog for 4 places (different contents
   for different audiences). At the same time, we still want to left the room and
   expandability for the domain brand, squeezing all the juice out of it. To do
   so, we want to diversify the business in the future, by using different CMS.
 * Therefore, I come up with below structures:
    **1. Install wordpress & enable
   multisite subfolders for different languages on the root domain.** example.com/
   example.com/en-us/ (in multisite network) example.com/en-ca/ (in multisite network)
   Basically, root domain and it’s subfolders are for introducing the company.
 * **2. Install wordpress on multiple stand-alone subdomains & each of them enable
   multisite subfolders for different languages**
    They Covering different topics
   trip.example.com/ (first stand-alone subdomain) trip.example.com/en-us/ (in multisite
   network) trip.example.com/en-ca/ (in multisite network)
 * tech.example.com/ (second stand-alone subdomain)
    tech.example.com/en-us/ (in
   multisite network) tech.example.com/en-ca/ (in multisite network)
 * deals / money / invest / careers / health / advertise can also be used for subdomain……
 * **3. Other Subdomains for diversifying the business, by using different CMS.**

   techshop.example.com/ (shopify) forum.example.com/ (forum cms)
 * I have tested. All the wordpress cache and plugins works perfectly, no problem.

   Just worry about the security issues, afraid of getting hack because of this
   specific setup. Does any experts use similar settings but had security issues
   before?

 * Assuming proper server configuration, core WordPress is very secure, regardless
   of how many sites or installations you might use. Any weaknesses are either from
   weak passwords or dodgy themes or plugins. If you use themes and plugins from
   reputable sources and use strong passwords all will be fine. Don’t worry. There
   are some additional measures you could take if you still feel the need. See [Hardening WordPress](https://wordpress.org/support/article/hardening-wordpress/).
   Personally, the only added security measure I use is a plugin to limit login
   attempts.
 * TBH, security issues do crop up from time to time. They are typically quickly
   patched and there is very rarely any evidence of there being any actual exploits
   in the wild.
