# Does UpdraftPlus restore the WordPress version?

 * Just wondering if this plugin, when used to restore a site, restore the WP version
   too, if an earlier WP version was in effect when the backup was taken?

 * I installed this plugin and I can take a back up of DB, themes and plugins. I
   am not able to get back up of the WordPress. Is any possibility?

 * Hi,
 * UpdraftPlus does not take a backup of the WordPress core files, only the contents
   of the ‘wp-content’ directory. As such, it will also not restore WordPress to
   an earlier version.
 * This feature is available in the paid version of UpdraftPlus, UpdraftPlus Premium.

 * I am looking at the UpdraftPlus Premium site, and am not seeing where it says
   that it can restore the WP core files. Please confirm. Thank you.
