# Doesn’ t work – generic error

 * Hello, I’ve installed and set up the plugin on a website I’m working at (www.
   studentiesplorano.it), but it doesn’t work… it always says “generic error” everytime
   i try to subscribe to the newsletter. I don’t understand what is the problem,
   maybe I haven’t set up properly…?!? Could u help? Tnks

    thank you for your message. It seems your MailUp account has been
   configured with a restriction on IP addresses. Please check out [this page](http://help.mailup.com/display/mailupUserGuide/WordPress#WordPress-AuthorizingWordPresstocommunicatewithMailUp)
   in order to understand how to register your IP address, or to disable the restriction
   if you prefer. Hope this helps, otherwise please let me know.
