# Doesn’t deactivate

 * This is the first time I have used this plugin and I have the site running on
PHP 7.x, SSL, NginX etc, on its own an VPS at DigitalOcean, with no caching running.
 * When I deactivate the plugin it appears to deactivate but the effect is that
a non-logged-in user still cannot access the site.
 * I have killed all previous sessions, deleted browser caches and used different
browsers all to the same effect.
 * This little sucker likes its job and doesn’t want to let go.

 * I should also mention, I guess, the site is brand new and there are only 3 plugins
running on the site at the moment — NginX Helper, Slider Tighten and VaultPress—

and you can find the site here [https://goo.gl/DWp2Ju](https://goo.gl/DWp2Ju)

 * Hi, thanks for using Force Login!
 * I’m not sure why it would still be working after you deactivated it. Did you
try deleting the _/wp-force-login_ directory from the _/wp-content/plugins_ directory?
 * Also, maybe try turning on the [WP_DEBUG](https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress)
mode on to see if any errors are being thrown?
 * The only other thing I can think of, is if there is something in your theme that
is forcing the redirect? Did you add any code to your theme’s functions.php file
   related to Force Login?

 * Sorry Kevin, I think I finally tracked it down to the redis object caching.

 * Great! I’m glad you were able to get this resolved.
 * Be sure to rate and review my plugin to let others know how you like it.
 * Thanks for using Force Login!
