Doesn’t show on some posts
-
This plugin used to work with no issues [and it was great] but now it only shows on posts I had it added it and won’t show on new posts.
Many thanks,
Gemma

Seeing there have been no updates to ezTOC recently, I suspect another source as the cause of the issue.
Have you updated an other plugins or theme? Perhaps an update to one of those is conflicting with ezTOC. If that were the case though, I would expect old posts to be affected too.
Where I would start to diagnose… make sure your new posts meet the settings criteria you have set before the TOC will display. For example, is it enabled for the post, are you using the headings set and of the required number of headings.
Morning, thanks for reply.
I always use headings in posts (SEO).
When I tick the box for the ezTOC and then save the tick does not save. When I tick the box for H2 the tick saves but the TOC still does not show (this is the setting I have for the post that the TOC does show for).
Example of post that it still works on:
https://www.twoscotsabroad.com/north-coast-500-accommodation-guide/Example of post that I tried recently with no ezTOC saving:
https://www.twoscotsabroad.com/things-to-do-in-portland-for-first-time-visitor/There’s no difference between the posts that I can see?
Theme and plugins update regularly, there would be no way of me knowing which one was conflicting. Theme is X by Themeco (I don’t use Cornerstone page builder for posts).
Thanks,
GemmaI do not see a TOC on either pages…
In regards to the settings not saving, I seem to recall this occurred when a specific plugin was installed. I think it was something like Amazon Links or Amazon Association Links. Do you have that plugin installed? Did you install it after using ezTOC?
That’s weird – it is definitely on the NC 500 accommodation post. Can I send a screenshot?
I do have Amazon’s plugin and its not one I can remove because it localises UK and US links, I have a UK/US audience.
Just checked, not showing now. Weird timing!
Ok so here’s one that it does show on:

I have a screenshot too. The weird thing is – the box is not ticked anymore [it would have been].
Any way I can get it to show when I want it to?
Thanks

I would recommend comparing two pages, one where it is inserted to one where it is not.
– Are the settings identical?
– Compare the type (ie. h1, h2, h3) and number of headings. Do they meet the minimum requirements set on the global Table of Content settings admin page? Do they meet the minimum requirements on the per post Table of Content settings. -
