I have had the same problem.
Perhaps the designer / owner could comment on how to resolve.
I see the full size image was updated but the thumbnails are not generated; which means it looks broken everywhere.
I have WP4.4.2 and the latest EMR, I click the file (a 2MB PDF file) from the Media Library, go to Attachment Details, click ‘Upload a new file’, select the replacement file which has the same name, choose ‘Just replace the file’ and Upload. It seems to work and I see the Edit Media page and I click Update. The file has not changed.
Seems to be a cache issue with the thumbnails. I changed the image style through each one (circle, mosaic, etc) and then it cleared up.
My problem was also a cache issue. The 2MB PDF files were being cached by Chrome.
same here – doesn’t update the image, server and browser cache was cleared numerous time. removing the plugin – i understand it is free but the author doesn’t seem to reply at all.
