Hi, if there is a bug in Safari running in IOS 10; then there is not much we can do unfortunately.

Hi
Thanks for your reply. It’s not a bug in Safari, it’s just that something has changed, which is stopping the Compact Player from playing. Does the Compact Player have any kind of built-in browser signature detection going on? Maybe that doesn’t recognise the new Safari version number?
The Compact Player uses as its audio player engine, javascript code from http://schillmania.com/projects/soundmanager2, and I have tested the demos on that website for compatibility, and they work, so the problem is happening somewhere in the Compact Player code.
Since there are millions of devices out there which will be ios10, I think you’ll get awful lot of messages about this not working……
Best wishes
Andy
Okay I understand what you mean. Unfortunately I don’t have an IOS system, so I can’t confirm your findings. The plugin developers will investigate further your issue.
Kind regards
Please upgrade to the new version (v1.9.6) which will fix it. Remember to empty your cache after the update so the browser picks up the new JS file.
