Domain Mapping to subfolder

    I cannot map my domain name to a subfolder. I want the subfolders to be masked.
    I have suzannewillett.com/wp/willitprods. I want it to be suzannewillett.com.
    1. I tried masking the url at goDaddy–the site becomes unreachable.
    2. I tried the MU Domain Mapping Plugin–it complains: This plugin will only work if WordPress is installed in the root directory of your webserver. It is currently installed in ’/wp/’.
    3. I tried to alter the .htaccess file
    4. I tried to alter the index.php file

    My understanding is part of the problem is my installation is in a subdirectory, not in the root of my site. Is there a solution to this with an example?
