 * Hi,
    I’ve been using the free plugin successfully on a website for 3 months.
   When it came time to renew the certificates, I’ve been through both HTTP and
   DNS challenges for the verification processes. I have inputted the information
   correctly, and DNS propagation is confirmed.
 * However, the domain will not verify, therefore I am unable to create new certificates.
   My hosting service have been notified and they don’t think there are any issues
   on their side.
 * Please advise.

   We recommend using the RESET option once and run the SSL install again.
 * Once after you add HTTP challenge files, please make sure you can view that file
   content in “your uploaded files should be visible at” links. You might need to
   check your file permissions to make the files in /acme-challenge/ folder publicly
   viewable.

 * Hi,
    Thanks for the reply and suggestion.
 * I have already used the RESET function and generated new files to upload (both
   the HTTP and the DNS TXT files).
 * The HTTP files are publicly viewable. Both files display when clicking the verification
   file links.
 * The DNS propagation is confirmed.
 * Please can you suggest any other solution?

 * The Debug log is showing the data since the reset, but nothing before that point.
 * Here’s a link (I’ve hidden the site url):

   Looks like something is wrong in the DNS records you have added. Please show
   a screenshot of TXT records you have added and we will let you know if its added
   correctly. Its hard to tell without domain name too.

 * The advanced DNS management is set up correctly – that’s why the DNS propagation
   works.

   Please re-run form with “Generate SSL for both www & non-www domain” **unchecked**.
   Also, remove empty space on top line in acme-challenge files you have uploaded.
   Try verifying via HTTP method.

 * HTTP based verification should succeed and you should be able to download new
   SSL certificates.

 * I’ve used that link and it is now working. Many thanks for resolving this issue!
   Please can you explain what steps were taken to resolve it?
 * Also, will I need to go through this process again in 3 months, or will I just
   need to generate a new certificate and key and upload them?

   Awesome!. You will need to do the same process every 3 months i.e., complete
   domain verification and generate new SSL certificate.
 * **wpleauto=http** URL param will instruct plugin to override prior manual check
   and proceed with verification from certificate authority.

 * Ok thanks for confirming. So, I’ll continue to use that override function.
 * All the best and thanks very much for the quick and helpful response.
