Donor Comments in Email

    I’m trying to include any comments from the donor in the New Donation alert email. That field does not appear in the list of template tags. Is this something that is possible to do? I’ve tried {donor_comments}, {donor_comment}, {comments}, and {comment} but none of these seem to be correct.

    Hi there,

    We’ve been working on several tweaks and fixes for both the Donor Wall and the donor comments for Give version 2.3. We are having to change the way we store those comments for compatibility with other comment-based plugins and other purposes. So that means we need to finish that work first, and then we can implement related functionality like email tags. I’ll make sure to add that as a feature request so it ideally makes it into an upcoming release. Thanks!

    Just an update that we’ve got this working already for Give version 2.3 which should be released within the next week.
