Hi DougW,
Sorry that you ran into issues here!
What happens if you run a conflict test? Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/
If you still see the same behavior even with just BD and a default theme active, contact us here with a link to this forum thread and we’ll take it from there: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/contact/
I also have this problem – v4.3.2 Virtue theme. Would be interested if you have any answers, but will try the conflict checking when I have time. Directory listings are looking pretty awful at the moment!
Could you let me know where a business directory listing gets its formatting from please? I have listings that have images with text and they all have adopted double line spacing for some reason. ‘Normal’ posts aren’t affected. See http://www.visitpewseyvale.co.uk/business-directory-2/woodborough-nursery-garden-centre-2/ as an example of the extra spacing and http://www.visitpewseyvale.co.uk/new-year-resolutions/ as an example of a ‘normal’ post with a similar layout which isn’t affected. Any assistance in sorting this out would be very much appreciated. The more I try and correct it, the worse it gets.
Hi Susie,
Same questions I have above–can you try the conflict test and report back?

Our formatting comes from a combination of our CSS and your theme, so it’s hard to pinpoint the issue unless you try that conflict test.
Hi there – I’ve done both the tests and there is no difference.
I have tested to see whether it is having images in the directory entry text area but that doesn’t make any difference either.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Susie
Hi – just also to say that there seems to be additional
in the html that is produced which are creating the spacing problems, but they don’t exist on the visual or text tabs on the actual entry. I saw that someone else had a similar problem a while ago, but I can’t see what the resolution was on their support log. Thanks. Susie
