Double opt-in error

Hi,

I am using mailchimp for wp lite. I have added the form as html in header.php. The form shows as an element within a flyout fullscreen menu below my nav menu list items.

I have unchecked the double opt-in option in form settings. When I test the form, I am getting a message that says “Almost finished… We need to confirm your email address. To complete the subscription process, please click the link in the email we just sent you.”

Am I wrong to think that the message displayed should say “Success” or something similar?

I have also checked the option to Hide Form After Successful Signup but the form does not disappear.

Am I missing something? Or do I have to sign up for the Pro Account for the above features to work?
