 * Hi jraffo,
 * Pixel Helper terminology can be a little confusing in this matter, but you don’t
   have 2 actual pixels on that page. There is one pixel with 2 different events:
 * 1. The default PageView event, triggered on every page where the pixel code is
   present
 * 2. A standard Lead event that you probably created for that URL using PixelYourSite
   plugin.
 * There is no error!
 * Thanks for using PixelYourSite
 * PS If you find the plugin useful, please give us a five star rating. It will
   be really appreciated

 * But it says we received 7 lead submissions. we have not ANY at all in our inbox.
   something is wrong with the conversion pixel i set up in the plugin. Can you
   advise if there’s something i can do or do they look ok to you?

 * Well, once again Facebook can be deceiving… they consider each event on your
   site as a conversion. This is one problem that you can solve by creating custom
   reports.
 * We have an article about how to customize FB reports: [http://www.pixelyoursite.com/facebook-ads-reports-optimisation](http://www.pixelyoursite.com/facebook-ads-reports-optimisation)
 * Then, the way you created the pixel, every time a user lands on that page from
   an ad, FB will see it as a Lead. This pixel triggers on page load.
 * If you try to capture users with an email form and trigger an event when an email
   is submitted, there are 2 possibilities:
 * 1. Redirect the user to a different page after the email is submitted and add
   the lead event on that final page.
 * 2. Use a dynamic event on the form’s button.
 * Let me know if this explanation helps you

 * I forgot to ask you, where do you see this event count?
 * If you’re looking at the event tab in Ads Manager, they take in consideration
   every event that was triggered, and not only the users coming from the ads.
 * So if that page loaded 7 times, there are 7 Lead events reported. I myself loaded
   the page a few times when I tested it, you probably did the same…

 * i click on tools tab>pixels>events and it says leads 8 and complete registration
   6 ( a pixel i had before but then deleted it) this is a bit confusing because
   facebook makes it seem like it counts however many people complete a form submission.
   What you’re saying makes sense because although i have leads and complete registration
   counts i have no actual leads in my inbox. i think i’m going to have the page
   redirect to a thank you page and make my life easier because google analytics
   is also counting page loads as goals. at this rate i have no idea what’s really
   happening with my ads. it’s misleading because if leads are only page loads,
   then what are page views and view content events? Are they the same?

 * You are right, as I said, the terminology can be a little confusing.
 * You can set up the standard events whatever way you want (if you’re not using
   FB Dynamic Products Ads)… It is best practice to use the Lead event for something
   that can be consider a lead, but it is up to you.
 * So redirecting the users after completing the form and triggering the Lead on
   that page is a better strategy (keep in mind that if someone loads the page coming
   from a source other then the form, the Lead event will still be triggered)
 * Regarding the number of times FB says your event triggered, that tool is mostly
   to check if the event is working and is not a real report to take into consideration.
   For a real understanding of what’s going on with your ads, use the reports in
   Ads Manager. Customize them according to your needs, as described in the article
   from my previous message.

 * actually one question, should i make the thank you page no index to prevent someone
   landing on that page by accident?

 * It is better to make it noindex, but this will not be 100% efficient.
 * Remember: In the normal reports FB will only show the events triggered by someone
   coming from the ads, and chances from such a user to load the final page by mistake
   are really low. So there is not much to worry.
 * The only way you can be really sure is to use a dynamic event, but it is not
   necessary for what you try to achieve at this point.
